About this Yacht

The Squadron 59 is a classic Fairline with unique build quality and styling. Don’t underestimate her seakeeping hull! In combination with the well maintained MAN V8 diesels with plenty of torque, she is the perfect yacht for those who want’s to travel in all comfort, for short trips inland or for the bigger journeys on the coastal waters.

Fitted with the high gloss cherrywood interior, she is really Fairline at there best. Three large cabins, two bathrooms, a fully equipped galley with the dinette on port side makes this a very social yacht. The large sofa with the double settee opposite is the perfect lounge area of this 59 Squaddie.

OUR RECOMMENDED ITINERARY

Göcek Bay, chosen by Turkish sailors as well as citizens of other nationalities, is one of the best places to sail inTurkey. This 7-day Göcek cruising itinerary will help you explore this region of the southern peninsula of Anatolia.
You will enjoy the stunning Mediterranean scenery, an relaxing environment and crystal clear water to swim or snorkel in.

Itinerary: Göcek (7 days)

Day 1. Göcek – Tomb Bay

On this sailing itinerary for Göcek we suggest you route of just a few nautical miles to enjoy relaxation in the beautiful waters of the Turquoise Coast. On the first day of sailing we will start from Göcek and we will sail south to admire the remains of the ancient region of Lycia. We will finish the day at Tomb Bay, known for being a place of pilgrimage for the Turkish painter and poet Bedri Rahmi.

Day 2. Tomb Bay – Sarsala – Fathom Bay

On the second day we will sail to Fathom Bay. On our way, we can admire Sarsala Bay and swim between the half-submerged ruins of the ancient baths of Cleopatra. We will end in Fathom Bay, a place where there is no light pollution and at night we can see thousands of stars in the sky.

Day 3. Fathom Bay – Kapi Creek

On this third day of sailing we will sail at our leisure to enjoy the Mediterranean landscape and snorkel around Kapi Creek.

Day 4. Kapi Creek – Tersane Adasi

We will head to Tersane Adasi, the largest of the seven islands of the bay of Göcek. We can admire the cavities in the rocks and the turquoise waters.

Day 5. Tersane Adasi – Fethiye

We will sail to Fethiye, one of the major maritime cities in this part of Turkey. There we can see the remains of the ancient city of Telmessos, more than two thousand years old.

Day 6. Fethiye – Yassica Islands

We will leave Fethiye and sail to the Yassica islands, close to Göcek. You can enjoy its pristine beaches on the north side. You have to navigate with caution in this area because you could scrape against some of the submerged rests of ancient dwellings on these islands.

Day 7. Yassica Islands – Göcek

We will end our sailing itinerary for Göcek returning to the departing port. There you can saunter and enjoy the cuisine of the region (mezedes or mezze, are typical of Eastern Europe and highly recommended).
